Berlin, 02 December 2022 - Mukran Port took part in the plenary meeting of the federal funding project. New contacts were made and existing ones maintained. Furthermore, the interim results for the development of hydrogen transport infrastructures were presented and an outlook for further development was given.

 

Klaipeda (Lithuania), 01 December 2022 – Representatives of Mukran Port are visiting the port of Klaipeda to discuss the possibilities of further intensifying cooperation in a bilateral exchange. One of the focal points is cooperation in the area of offshore wind energy, for which a Lithuanian delegation visited the port of Mukran in the last summer allready.

 

Sassnitz - Mukran, 01 December 2022 - As part of the federal funding project "HyLand" a workshop was held at the port of Mukran with representatives from the port industry and potential hydrogen consumers and suppliers. Approaches for supplying hydrogen to various modes of transport via a trimodal filling station system were jointly developed, and the associated challenges were discussed and presented.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 28 November 2022 - In order to continue to be able to respond quickly and flexibly to customer requests in the future, additional handling equipment has been purchased at Mukran Port Terminals (MPT). The new wheel loader, which already has a built-in weighing system, expands the possibilities and contributes to improving and optimising the handling of goods at Mukran Port.

 

Sassnitz - Mukran, 25 November 2022 - Baltic Port Rail Mukran GmbH (BPRM) supports practical training for railway engineering professions through a cooperation agreement with a training company.

After intensive practical training with the BPRM training locomotive driver, the first successful examination for locomotive shunting driver could now be taken in Mukran.

Chengdu (China), 24 November 2022 - Mukran Port is digitally participating in the sixth Asia - Europe Logistics Forum in Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan. This will bring together international railways, multimodal transport companies and freight forwarders to discuss challenges facing Eurasian rail transport and develop solutions.

Rostock, 15 November 2022 - Mukran Port took part in the WindEnergyNetwork workshop under the slogan: "Rostock heat plan - a model for MV? At the subsequent networking event, there was a lively exchange on the expansion of renewable energies in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the related challanges of skilled workers.

 

Sassnitz-Mukran, 14. November 2022 - Mukran Port is prepared for winter. In the MPT workshop this week, the Unimog is being prepared for its winter deployment and technically upgraded to ensure traffic safety in the port with a snow plough and salt spreader.

Berlin, 10 November 2022 - Today's Terminal Day of the Studiengesellschaft für den Kombinierten Verkehr e.V. (SGKV), at which Mukran Port is also represented, offers ample opportunity to exchange ideas with politicians, business and science. In addition to digitalisation in combined transport, the specialist presentations and discussions will also focus on the ongoing disruptions to supply chains.

 

Sassnitz - Mukran, 07. November 2022 - In Mukran, four goods trains are currently being handled simultaneously through the terminals at the Port. With its flexibility, Baltic Port Rail Mukran GmbH ensures a smooth organisational process and provides all the wagons of the train quartet safely and in a customer-oriented manner at the individual loading and unloading points and for traindeparture as well.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 31. October 2022 - Today FRS Baltic's high-speed catamaran SKANE JET sailed from the island of Rügen to Ystad for the last time this 2022 season. From the coming season, the catamaran will change course from Sassnitz - Mukran to Trelleborg, thus reviving the traditional Kings Line. Furthermore, day trips to Ystad, Malmö, Lund as well as Copenhagen, among others, will be offered in 2023.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 28. October 2022 - Mukran Port took part in the general meeting of the Logistics Alliance Germany (LAG) in Spelle as a member of the association. In addition to intensive discussions about the future direction of the association, there was also a tour of the host Krone factory for agricultural machinery, ideas about future-oriented "last mile" logistics and the annual network event of the LAG.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 24. October 2022 - On 22.10.2022, the Mukran Port Shuttle, as a connecting train between the long-distance railway station Bergen auf Rügen and the Mukran Port Ferry Terminal, made its last rounds for this 2022 season. Looking back on the season, it can already be said that this environmentally friendly combination of train and ship was a complete success and was very popular by the passengers. All those involved are already working flat out on a continuation next year.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 21. October 2022 - A meeting of the Baltic Sail Association took place in the city port of Sassnitz, which cooperates closely with Mukran Port. Representatives of the partner ports from the entire Baltic Sea region signed a cooperation agreement on the preservation of traditional ships. In this way, the ports within the association support the preservation of this European cultural asset.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 20. October 2022 - The East-West Terminal in Fényeslitke was visited during the Rail Freight Conference in Hungary. At this ultra-modern terminal, for example, the cranes are no longer operated from the pulpit up in the crane itself, but from a computer in an office.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 13. October 2022 - Experts from business and science meet at the Baltic Transport Forum in Warnemünde to discuss the current challenges of transporting goods in the Baltic Sea region.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 11. October 2022 - Last night, the 42 meter long mast built by flz in Lauterbach was transported from Mukran Port as an oversize road transport for the assembly of the „Skywalk“ on the chalks cliffs namend „Königsstuhl“.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 04. October 2022 - Mukran Port represented at the Wind Energy Fair in Hamburg. Numerous discussions were held at the expert meeting of the off- & onshore wind energy industry. The Minister for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Employment of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania also visited the Mukran Port exhibition stand.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 26. September 2022 - Since the launch of the ferry service between Mukran and Roenne (Bornholm) in September 2018, 800 departures have already been successfully completed with the HAMMERSHUS and the POVL ANKER together from Mukran ferry port.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 24. September 2022 — As part of the TransLogistica trade fair in Almaty (Kazakhstan), a delegation from Mukran Port visited localterminals and discussed potential cooperation and transportroutes.
