Sassnitz-Mukran, May 16, 2017 - In the traditional offshore BBQ, this year's participation reached over 120 people from the offshore sector.

The following companies were honoured as "Best Practice" offshore wind partners 2017 by the Managing Director Harm Sievers (Fährhafen Sassnitz GmbH) and Mayor Frank Kracht (Sassnitz) for the planning and implementation of the complex sea floor improvement measures for successful jack-up operations of the vessel "Brave Tern" (OWF Wikiger): Mr. H. Chamier of Baugrund Stralsund Ingenieursgesellschaft mbH and Mr. H. Panner of AIU Architekten- und Ingenieurunion Stralsund GmbH as consultant engineers, Mr. G. Hackmann of Colcrete - of Essen Wasserbau GmbH & Co. KG for structural implementation.

Mr. J. von Hofe from PSA received the award for very good longstanding cooperation as well as for the opening of branch office at the site as an instructor in the field of industrial climbing and safety training for the offshore industry.

Sassnitz-Mukran, May 15, 2017 - From now on, a mobile bunk vessel MV Elly is in operation in Mukran Port. MV Elly supplies all ship types with both gas oil and diesel. In addition, the ship operator Friedrich G. Frommann GmbH & Co. KG in cooperation with TL Tanker Logistics GmbH & Co. KG offers additional ship requirements such as lubricating oils to its customers. The new service in the port enables to provide the vessels with fuel more flexibly and more favorably. Another advantage is the relief of road traffic on the island of Rügen.  The replenishment was previously supplied by the tank trucks.

Mukran Port

Sassnitz-Mukran, April 28, 2017 - At the 5th Rail & Shipping Summit in Mukran Port, logistics experts discussed the potential of the location and the current challenges. Current projects and the interplay of the business areas and subsidiaries organized under the corporate master brand "Mukran Port" were the focus of the discussions. The reorientation of the port as well as numerous projects and company sittings make a positive impact on freight handling.

Sassnitz-Mukran, February 3, 2017 — First time in January, the installation vessel „Brave Tern“ of the shipping company “Fred Olsen” jacked-up at Mukran Port. The vessel picked up the components for the construction of the wind farm “Wikinger”. Previously, the berth 3a had been upgraded for the installation vessels of this size. The construction measures were mainly carried out by companies from West Pomerania.

Sassnitz-Mukran, January 5, 2017 – The installation vessel Brave Tern of the offshore wind project „Wikinger“ berthed at Mukran Port and jacked-up for the load-out of the components.
