Sassnitz-Mukran, 23 June 2023 – On Wednesday, 21 June 2023, another service building for the offshore wind industry was put into operation by EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH (EMO) at Mukran Port.The symbolic key handover took place ceremoniously and in the presence of invited guests. The building serves as a base port for EMO as well as for Parkwind and Vestas for the supply and control of the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm. The Mukran Port has thus once again underlined its great importance for the offshore wind industry in the Baltic Sea region.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 14. June 2023 - Since 01.09.2020 the apprentice Florian Nasebandt learns the profession "clerk for office management" in the administration of Mukran Port. Now he has successfully passed the last exam and will be taken on permanently as a "clerk for insurance and claims processing".
We congratulate Florian on completing his training and wish him a great professional future in our company.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 26. May 2023 - Mukran Port Terminals (MPT) offers numerous services for companies in the offshore sector. For ship-to-ship transhipments, oversized fenders are stored on MPT's premises and made available to the tug after being commissioned by the customer. After completion of the operation, the fenders will be brought back to the port and stored again by MPT.

Sassnitz-Mukran, 02 May 2023 - Under this slogan the day of the renewable energy in Mukran was already celebrated on 28.04.2022. For this purpose pupils from the 9th and 10th classes of the "CJD Christophorusschule Sellin Rügen" were invited to ask questions around the topic of renewable energies. For this purpose Mukran Port showed the first steps towards a climate-neutral port and presented its largely energy self-sufficient "Haus Hafenblick". At the offshore stations of Iberdrola, RWE and Ems Offshore, the students gain an insight into what it means and what knowledge is required to operate and maintain an offshore wind farm.

Sassnitz-Mukran, April 27. 2023 - In Mukran Port, a geared heavy lift vessel with onboard cranes, has loaded double-deck railcars directly from the track into the ship's cargo hold with the support of Mukran Port Terminals GmbH. The vehicles are part of a project of Baltic Port Services GmbH on behalf of TRC Tanzania/Africa.

Warsaw, April 24, 2023 - At the Rail Freight Summit in Warsaw, more than 300 experts from the international rail world discussed future developments and challenges in rail freight transport on the Eurasian continent. The focus was on the East-West connections between Asia and Europe, the transport possibilities to and from the Ukraine, the North-South connections between Scandinavia and the Mediterranean region as well as the infrastructural challenges especially between Poland and Germany. Furthermore, two of the many terminal facilities in Malaszewicze on the Belarusian border were visited.

Berlin, April 20, 2023 - Since April this year Mukran Port has been a member of the Study Society for Combined Transport (SGKV), which is committed to intermodal, rational transport chains. As a neutral and non-profit organization, the SGKV unites over 80 members under one roof: from terminal operator and  rail operator up to universities and freight forwarders, they all pursue a common goal: to make freight transport in Germany and Europe more environmentally friendly, more efficient and simply more sustainable with the help of intelligent intermodal transport chains. The SGKV ordinary general meeting and workshop will also take place today in Berlin.

Mukran Port selected as base port for Van Oord’s Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm which is being constructed in 2023 and 2024 for Iberdrola.


Sassnitz-Mukran, March 27, 2023 - Van Oord, a specialist in maritime infrastructure projects, has chosen Mukran Port as its base port for the handling and loading of 50 Transition Pieces (TPs - in German: Verbindungsstücke). The first TPs have already been loaded out in port and transported to their storage locations.. The TPs are part of the offshore wind farm Baltic Eagle for the Spanish energy company Iberdrola.

Wolgast, 23.03.2023 - Today's startup event HAFENFORUM VORPOMMERN, where MUKRAN PORT is also represented, gives companies and stakeholders from administrations and politics the opportunity to communicate about the current issues of logistics, economic policy and the development of infrastructure in Vorpommern both at the national stage and international level. The discussion will focus on the following topics: Energy industry, hinterland connection shipping and industrial development at Baltic Region.

Berlin, 22 March 2023 - The extraordinary general meeting of the Logistics Alliance Germany is taking place today. Due to the restructuring within the association, the members, which also include Mukran Port, were invited to Berlin. The new version of the statutes and discussion about the strategic development of the association were decided sucessfully.

Berlin, 23.02.23 - In addition to Mukran Port, numerous companies met with a high-ranking delegation at the Kazakh Embassy yesterday. The round table discussed the intensification of bilateral economic relations as well as modernisation processes in Kazakh industry. Among the increasing trade volume, mechanical engineering and plant exports to Kazakhstan stood out.

Berlin, 02 February 2023 - After representatives of the port were unable to take part in the Rail Freight Transport Forum of the Association of German Transport Companies for the last few years due to the pandemic, Mukran Port is once again represented at this fixed industry event of the rail freight transport sector. Before the pandemic, Mukran Port was a regular participant at these important meetings, where the optimisation and further development of rail freight transport is discussed and the expectations of customers as well as the political framework conditions are formulated. The 16th edition of this event was held under the motto "Opening up future markets for rail!" and the focus was on the opportunities for rail through the best environmental compatibility of all modes of transport, both in Europe and on the Eurasian route.

Mukran, 26 January 2023 - Following modernisation work in accordance with the latest safety standards, the working pit for rail vehicles at Mukran Port is once again fully operational. At the same time as the modernisation, the access to the working pit was also significantly improved by extending the track, so that vehicle units up to 140 m long, which cannot be separated, can now also reach the working pit. Mukran Port thus reacted to the corresponding demand in the market and once again underlines its orientation towards the customer.

Mukran, 23 December 2022 - Once again this year, Port Sassnitz-Mukran e.V. and Mukran Port have provided a few small gifts for Christmas for the seafarers staying at Mukran. Mukran Port and the association hope to bring a little delight to the seafarers who are unable to spend Christmas with their families.

Mukran, 22 December 2022 - Today saw the last departure of 2022 to Bornholm from Mukran Port. And people are already looking forward to the start of the 2023 season, when it will be "to Bornholm from Mukran Port!" again.

Sassnitz - Mukran, 05. Dezember 2022 – Until Friday last week, the KOMATSU wheel loader was a guest in the workshop of Mukran Port Terminals. In addition to replacing the defective windscreen, maintenance work wass also carried out, such as checking and replacing the air filter, which has to be checked regulary due to the dusty work at the terminal. The workshop team has worked through all the important points so the wheel loader returns to the terminal today.
